2012 May 19th-Yellow Creek Inn-Pearl City, IL-The Cross Cut Band-Website 27th-Lake Louise-Byron, IL-Rock Steady Band-8 to 11 June 2nd-Shave to Save Fundraiser-Legends Sports Bar-Lena, IL-The Rock Steady Band Come show your support for those touched by cancer by attending this annual head shaving event at Legends in Lena. Every day new cases of cancer are reported. Those going thru chemotherapy and radiation treatments do not have a choice in losing their hair. You do! Won't you give up your hair this summer to show your support and help raise awareness about this dreaded disease? If you have any questions or would like to participate, send an email to shavetosave2012@gmail.com. I will send you pledge form. Ask family, friends and co-workers to sponsor you with donations. Have them sign the form and collect their donations and bring them with you to Shave To Save on June 2nd, then get your head shaved. Those younger than the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian. Walk-ins are welcome too. Get your head shaved for a minimum $10 donation. If you choose not to go bald, won't you support this charity event with a donation? Make all checks payable to Relay For Life or American Cancer Society. Proceeds from the evening are given to Stephenson County Relay For Life (a division of the American Cancer Society). This year we will have some awesome entertainment lined up for you. The classic rock band ROCK STEADY will rock the house from 9 to close. This event is co-sponsored by Forest City Paranormal Society. There's strength in numbers ... bring all your friends ... have a great meal, have some drinks and shave your head! Last year 50 heads were shaved and raised $5000.00. Let's beat those numbers.
